We are infinitely more than what we do, what we have, how we vote, who we Love…
Who is Jasmine @JasNotes?
This is nicer over coffee. Wait a sec, let’s make some. 🙂
People-passionate, sky-gazing, beat lover/geek, who works on youth advocacy and taboo topics, and loves to get dirty in creative community partnerships.
Why am I writing?
Heavy empathy and wild thinking spark my writing. I try to be vulnerable and share my heart here. And I try to write for everyone regardless of culture, beliefs, age, whatever.
I mean for this to be a safe space..
I’m a recovering Pharisee (the religious elite who were crazy about God’s word, but blind to *His Heart). Some of my posts have been labelled as heresy or controversial. I’ve come under fire for thinking big about God/God’s Love and daring to hope.
Dumping religion has faithfully coloured the blog.
My hope is to uncover and point to Massive Love, and the unfathomable awesomeness of People.
What do I cover?
I write about Social Justice, American Christian Hypocrisy, and aspects of Unconditional Love through regular life experiences and full-on geek posts.
This is a place to lose labels, be encouraged, think bigger about love, ourselves, our connection, and hopefully find gems (or just glitter) to light our way a bit.
Everything’s going to be OK in the end.
If it’s not OK, it’s not the End. – John Lennon
Hope you feel welcome here. How was the coffee? ❤
*I use He and His as simple pronouns for God, but fully recognize God with male and female ‘identity,’ (for lack of a better word). I believe this is evidenced throughout the bible but most blatantly through humanity. To ponder more, check this post, “Transgender God” here. Or this amazing Love Letter to a Transgender Teen on Spirit Day.
PS., Sexual abuse prevention, and prn-proofing kids is heavy on my heart, especially with so many screens in increasingly younger hands.
1 in every 10 visitors to a prn site is under 10 years.
