WordPlay #3 : Liberty-Library-Libra just like Freedom-Books-Justice

If you live across cultures you can stumble on language quirks– words your brain hears or sees differently than intended simply because you’re not a native speaker.
Last time I flagged Vote/Stem/Stemmen/Tuning –where “Stem” is Dutch for “vote,” and multiple votes is the equivalent of the English “tuning.” Our votes should thus “tune” the instruments in power. (but how many Listen?).
Then there was Funk, which is Fønk in Norwegian, which flags the Dutch “Vonk” which is “Spark” in English.
Last I checked, a good jam and getting funky are hard to contain..
Enter Liberty.
This bombshell Word sparked the whole series.

Freedom, Books and Justice look very different on the surface, but share some serious roots.
“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me..” (Excerpt from, The New Colossus poem (1883), on Lady Liberty).
Latin is a root of many languages and word gems can and will be found all over the place, including through Chinese and Japanese characters. (the breakdown on “Righteous” is insane!).
But none of these quirks are weird if we consider we’re all One Family.
Speaking of one family, when one of us suffers we all suffer, when one rejoices, we all rejoice (verse). The brave warrior in the cover photo, and pictured above, climbed the State of Liberty on 4 July (American Liberation Day) to protest the abominable, hell-borne immigration policies of “Zero Tolerance” and “Family Separation.” (still active, and more horror afoot…)

And America is still holding her breath as a President refuses to concede, continues to stoke and not condemn violence. On 8 Dec. we learn if “faithless electors” will dump the will of people and subvert the outcome of the 2020 US Election.
And would you believe Firing Squads and Electrocution have been reactivated?? Set to take effect on Christmas Eve 2020 to boot.
There is literally a rush to Exterminate people. What flipping century is this??!
Breathe. There is more that unites us, than drives us apart..
Wordplays can bring some lightness in times of trouble, but let this one also bring wisdom:
Your Freedom is paramount and should be shared and Equal for All. And when in doubt, hit the Books to learn what nations and peoples have been through and why We. Can. Never. Turn. Back.
