Encouraging memes can fall flat when you’re in the middle of a firestorm. My experience is that problems or stressors rarely come alone. I’m dealing with X, but Q is spilling over, and my heart is breaking about T (and D through K).. I’m not sure I’m going to make it about P….
Do troubles wait their turn?
If you never felt crushed by circumstance, season, ailment, or emotion, I should either applaud you or wonder if you’re living? Mental and sometimes physical load can be massive– burnout, depression, anxiety, panic, pain, anger, hopelessness, and despair are no strangers in society.
Not even to kids.
Maybe that diamond reference is fitting.
These beautiful, rare and unique gems are formed under unfathomable pressure, heat, time and stress.
But get this:
The same carbon parent material for diamonds, also makes graphite. Yup, Pencil lead. (tweet)
Did you ever think of your life as a hero’s tale?
If our lives are like stories, then, SOUND THE TRUMPET, we’re all destined to be the Hero! And our “stories“ can help and encourage others…
Never think you’re alone, or that what you’re walking through doesn’t matter, or can’t make a difference… (tweet)
The word “diamond” comes from the Greek Adamas:
unalterable, unbreakable, untamed.
Funnily enough, the Hebrew word for mankind is “Adam.” (according to blueletterbible “adam” means red/ruddy–think clay, earthen vessels…).
What if we have power greater than we can imagine?
What if the Heart of the Universe is actually rooting for us? Should we be anything less than the Hero of our own story? Couldn’t we encourage others, especially any youth in our lives?
When the fire comes, will you remember?
