Whether you’re a Christian or a Christian from the “synagogue of Satan” (Revelation 3:9), don’t worry: there’s love here. Sorry to be blunt but with so many “Christians” holding bibles and speaking/doing hate, people need clarity. Luckily Love is the litmus test (1 Cor 13) and “a tree is known by its fruit” (Luke 6:44).
If your fruits are primarily outward like church attendance, wearing crosses, even big Bible knowledge, look out! It’s possible to be crazy about God, the Bible, and still miss His Heart–I’ve been there. Christians can even make God an idol (been there too, Ouch).
Whatever your identity, I’m writing this with a motivation to help protect, especially children, if things go Havoc on earth. America may be center stage for the only war that’s ever truly rumbled on earth: Love vs. Hate.
The Bible prophecies of a world leader rising above others, receiving a fatal (head) injury and miraculously surviving–like if JFK survived Dallas. This leader is a “lawless”/loveless one who speaks mean, angry words, eventually even against God Himself.
Remember when Judas chose to sell out Jesus and Satan got permission to literally enter him? (John 13:27) The same may happen with this world leader–but more extreme. The world will marvel at him and apparently God will send “strong delusion” to keep his followers riveted–followers who chose lovelessness when they lusted after him in the first place (2 Thessalonians 2 gives the breakdown).
God will grant this leader authority over “every tribe, tongue and nation on earth for a set time” and there will be signs, wonders and downright crazy sh#*, like a statue of the leader coming to life and demanding everyone get his mark (think logo or maybe a new currency) before they can buy or sell goods–royalty and world leaders have a habit of putting their faces on coins and bills (see eg Daniel 7 or Revelation 13 for more).
We’re already seeing prophetic unload including “the love of many growing cold,” and “the forbidding of marriage,” even “seas roaring” (thanks climate change with rising sea levels). Most obvious is Daniel’s vision of the social injustice empire (the “10 toes”) where the divide between “haves” and “have nots” is peak and the haves don’t fix it (Daniel 2:31-45).
What if that expectation is wrong?
Christians are a “City on a hill” showcasing who God Is, but while this ‘City’ should shine outrageous Love manifested by social justice, kindness, respect, humility, self-sacrifice and absolute equality, scripture notes about 70% of the “Church” is not. (Revelation 1-3, Jesus’s messages to the Church).
What kind of God would God be if those wearing His “label” are promoting hate, racism, sexism, religionism, and downright human and natural atrocities, meanwhile those working in soup kitchens and writing letters to poor children are “left behind” because they didn’t want anything to do with God?–maybe because of experiences in “Church” or at the hands of “Christians”?
No. God is not fooled, neither is the world.
“These people draw near Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me…” (Isaiah 29:13, Matthew 15:8).
Christians may be inclined to vote republican because of “biblical values” but the ultimate biblical value/ royal command (check the Greek) is to Love. Sure, this word lost meaning, along with the word “Christian,” but it’s the True litmus test of a person. NOT if they oppose abortion, gay marriage or support Israel.
Even Satan can call himself a Christian–after all, he believes in God and Jesus and knows the bible better than most! And don’t forget those “Christians” that burn people on a cross because of their skin color, or those “Christians” that led convert-or-die crusades, or those “Christians” that blow up abortion clinics or protest at the funerals of murdered children because they were gay (e.g. Matthew Shepard).
The LORD enters into judgment with the elders of His people, “It is you who have devoured the vineyard; The plunder of the poor is in your houses. “What do you mean by crushing My people and grinding the face of the poor..?” (Isaiah 3: 13-15)
Americans, you have history in your hands. Make things simple and ask yourself: Where is there more respect for fellow man, woman and child? Where is there less attention to money? Where is there more equality and common decency, and where do borders go out the window (or do you think God has walls in heaven?).
The true calling card of a Christian was supposed to be self-sacrificing Love, not a self-first, money-focused love.
On November 8 we may seal our course, but even if all hell breaks loose, remember God’s Character (Love) and keep Hope. In the disobedience of the Jews the “Gentles” received salvation, and maybe in the disobedience of “Christians” God will finally be able to thoroughly glean the threshing floor and finish this old order of things. His Love is so outrageous it would literally kill itself to save an offending, offensive other– and this is the Love that speaks for us and will ultimately have the Last Word.
So be it.
Works will never get us into Heaven but with all the oppression, injustice and suffering in this world they sure make Heaven happy! And quite frankly, they testify to the Presence of Love living in our hearts. (….”when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? or a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you…? And the King will answer, as much as you did for the least of these, you did for Me… (Matthew 25 31-46).
